Newly-promoted Chiltern’s debut season in the top division will be short-lived if it fails to win its last two matches.
Corowa RSL looks to be in the box seat for promotion to A1, but Mansfield, Rutherglen and Myrtleford all can’t be discounted.
The ladder after round 12 is: Benalla 176, YMGCR 137, Wodonga 131, Yarrawonga 115, Kiewa Valley 84, Wangaratta 83, Corowa Civic 80, Chiltern 58.
In the penultimate round next weekend, Benalla hosts Wangaratta, Wodonga travels to Chiltern, Yarrawonga can secure a finals berth with victory against Corowa Civic, while Kiewa Valley takes on YMGCR.
