Speedforce, which is run by professional actor and teaching artist Rachel McNamara and her partner Drue Mortlock, an occupational therapist, offers a chance for young people with a disability, many of whom are living in out of home care, to experience the thrill of performing on stage.
“We explored superheroes, what makes us feel invincible and what our superpower would be if each of us had one,” Ms McNamara said.
Speedforce's first public performance will be at Albury North Public School on February 9, from 6.30pm.
The performance will be accompanied by an Auslan interpreter.
