While Singe’s priorities will remain with Victorian Netball League club Blaze, the Raiders have confirmed she will play at Birallee Park when free of commitments in Melbourne.
“We will be putting Nakita on our playing list this year,” Raiders coach Jodie House said.
“She’s trained with us and knows a lot of our girls.
“As far as how many games she plays for Wodonga Raiders, I’m really not too sure.
“It will all depend on her commitments in Melbourne.”
Originally from Hume league club Henty, Singe enjoyed a rapid rise through the playing ranks at North Albury to become one of the premier defenders in the Ovens and Murray.
She came runner-up to Yarrawonga’s Hannah Symes in the Toni Wilson Medal in 2016 and was selected in the Victoria under-19 squad later that season.
Wodonga Raiders, who climbed to seventh position on the ladder last season with seven wins, are holding their trials at Birallee Park with teams set to be finalised later this week.
“We are retaining a lot of our girls which is nice,” House said.
“A couple of players have come back as well and we’re just working through our trials at the moment.”
