Mary-Jane Griggs will give a 10am talk on Saturday, February 9, at Arts Space Wodonga about Graphia, now showing until March 2.
Her experimentation with global patterns over three years involved sitting and creating small works that eventually numbered 800.
IN OTHER NEWS:
“I did all of them on my lap inside, it changed my whole practice because I wasn’t going into the studio,” Griggs said.
“These works also grew out of re-discovering how much I loved playing with pencils.
“It’s like doodling and there’s no preconceptions, it’s very relaxing.”
Graphia is the 18th solo show in Albury-Wodonga for Griggs, who is the head of art at Albury TAFE.
