A VIOLENT offender has been released on bail in Wodonga, only for Albury officers to arrest him moments later.
Nathan Furner recently appeared before the Wodonga Magistrates Court.
He is accused of committing domestic violence offences, and was wanted by Albury officers for breaching his parole.
Furner – who has “f--- the police” tattooed on his body – had been on parole after being released from jail in NSW.
He breached parole by allegedly committing further offences and leaving the state.
His partner, who has a protection order out again him, supported him in Wodonga court.
The court heard police were happy for Furner to be released on bail, as he would be immediately arrested and taken back across the Border for the parole breach.
The new domestic violence matters will be put on hold for at least six months as Furner serves his time in NSW, where he owes 18 months.
