Chamber Philharmonia Cologne (Germany) will perform at St Patrick's Church on Saturday night as part of its Australian tour after successful European tours in 2017 and 2018.
The program, Classics from Germany, is made up of popular and unknown works from a variety of musical epochs.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Vivaldi will be performed alongside Sergei Prokofiev and even the “King of Tango” Astor Piazzolla.
Chamber Philharmonia Cologne's motto is "Classical music the world over".
The ensemble's musicians are just at home performing in a village church or in the open air as in the Cologne Cathedral or the Sydney Opera House.
They simply want to inspire as many people as possible across all generations to enjoy classical music.
Chamber Philharmonia Cologne gives about 300 concerts a year around the globe and listeners throughout the world look forward to a musical encounter with the talented musicians.
The ensemble was founded in Cologne, which is famous for its University of Music and its musical and instrumental teaching.
Generations of musicians have been trained in Cologne throughout many decades.
Taking advantage of this pool of talent, a stock of outstanding musicians has accrued that, in a changing cast of musicians, take their motto across the world.
Chamber Philharmonia Cologne tours New Zealand, Australia, Spain, Britain, Ireland and Germany.
Every member of the Chamber Philharmonia Cologne has the chance to perform as a soloist during the tour.
Tickets are available from Dymocks Albury and, for one hour before the 8pm show, at St Patrick's Church at 515 Smollett Street.
