An athletic and versatile 5’11 guard/forward, Daniel is the final piece of the puzzle for the Border women's outfit.
A former college teammate of power forward Emilee Harmon’s at Ohio State, Daniel has played all around the world with stops in Germany, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Greece, Hungary and Iceland on her impressive basketball resume.
An offensive weapon, Daniel can handle the ball, shoot effectively from the outside as well as using her athleticism to penetrate to the basket.
She is also a highly skilled ball handler, a strong rebounder and a willing defender with quick feet and hands.
Daniel last played in Iceland in 2017/18 - averaging 21 points and 9 rebounds per game.
More Bandits news:
Head women's coach Lauren Jackson is thrilled to add another quality player to her team.
"We are really excited to add Cherise to our squad for the upcoming season," Jackson said.
"We were looking for a real ‘do it all’ type player and we think Cherise is exactly the type of player we were after.
"Her size, athleticism and versatility will allow us to use her in a variety of roles and we think she’s a perfect fit for our team this year.
“Not only will she be a great player, but with her experience playing all around the world, we think she’ll be another great leader for our group."
Daniel will join the team next month ahead of their season opener away to Waverley on March 31.
More to come.
