Vin Du Jour made a one act affair of the $40,000 Maiden Hcp, (1175m) with Simon Miller aboard, winning by three lengths.
It was the lightly raced fillies third race start.
Beer said he would now target a Sandown midweek meeting and the Albury Guineas over the carnival.
"She is a horse that I have had a good opinion of since day one," Beer said.
"She beat herself at Wodonga then went for a spell.
"I thought her win on Saturday was exceptional because she had to work hard to cross from barrier 12 and lead the field.
"She got taken on and half-way down the straight it looked like it was going to be a real battle but she just slipped into another gear.
"Simon went another lap trying to pull her up and nearly collapsed once he got off."
Vin Du Jour will race next at Sandown on March 13.
