And the Patties' four-wicket win has ignited hopes the club could sneak ahead of Wodonga into third spot.
Both teams face the top two teams in Saturday's final round, with Wodonga strong outsiders away to runaway leaders Lavington, while St Pat's travel to nearby North Albury.
The home team's win was built on tearing through danger batsmen Jack Craig (four) and Robbie Jackson (two).
"We had a chat during the week and we said if we can cut the head off the snake, hopefully the rest bleed out," St Pat's all-rounder Kori Stevenson said.
"'Suidy' (Cameron Suidgeest) batted well at the end there, but didn't really have anyone to hang around with him."
Since Christmas, Suidgeest has become an integral figure in the club's premiership hopes.
He's scored 38 or more in three of his past four innings and while he failed to take a wicket against the Patties, he's snared 17 since the break.
Suidgeest finished with 55 from 92 balls, including six boundaries and two sixes.
The visitors collapsed for only 150 from 42.1 overs, with the underrated Kieran Cowan claiming 3-30.
St Pat's went into the double-header weekend without its best batsman of the past decade in Luke Restall with work commitments.
Number three Angus Kilby posted 33 from 42 balls, Nick Flood chipped in with 27, while Stevenson scored 26 at number five.
"As a unit, we have a system where we don't rely on one or two to get the job done," Stevenson said of the well-rounded outfit.
"We all have a role and we seem to be getting it done now week by week."
The effort rounded out a winning double over the weekend.
On Saturday, the Patties scored an 18-run win over Tallangatta.
Captain and opener Matt Crawshaw led the way with a patient 51 from 119 balls, with the Bushies' Sam Stephens snaring 3-41.
In reply, the home team fell for 129 with Dean Nicholson grabbing three scalps.
Meanwhile, Wodonga split its games.
New City import Saurabh Bandekar was outstanding with 88 in the total of 188.
Leo McGhee claimed 5-32.
Wodonga passed the target seven wickets down with seven balls to spare.
Jackson was unbeaten on 53, while Craig struck 41.
