Senator Bridget McKenzie, who officially opened her new office in Wodonga last week, announced a suite of projects which had been successful in a total of $3.45 million for Indi this round.
Among them were $19,320 for Wodonga chamber of commerce to produce a master-plan on how to woo more people and businesses to the city and $20,000 to Parklands Albury-Wodonga to also come up with a master-plan for trails on the Baranduda Ranges.
The biggest winners in Indi from the latest BBRF round worth a total of $641.6 million were a $1.3 million bike trail between Bright and Harrietville with another bike trail between Beechworth and Yackandandah also securing $1 million.
A total of $7 million is heading to Farrer with more announcements to be made before Friday when all successful applicants will be known.
Last September the Wodonga library and art gallery redevelopment secured $4 million from the Victorian government.
The turf club was chasing $3.3 million from the federal government with other funding partners to make up the balance of the project first floated in 2016.
A federal infrastructure department spokesperson said the third BBRF round was "highly competitive" with 915 applications received Australia-wide.
"Applications were assessed against the eligibility and assessment criteria detailed in the guidelines and allocated a score and ranked against other applications," the spokesperson said.
"Unfortunately, that meant that not all applications could be funded from the available funds."
The Indi election race includes two Coalition candidates, Steve Martin and Mark Byatt, Labor's Eric Kerr and incumbent Cathy McGowan's anointed successor, Helen Haines.
