"We tried to look at what we thought was fair and we thought that was a fair amount of games played (at A grade level)," Odewahn said.
"They (Cook and Newton) were both super players but, in saying that, two years of Ovens and Murray netball is a bit hard when you look at people who have played over 10 years."

The side was one of three named on the night, along with football's Team of the Century and Team of the Past 25 Years.
The football teams had a criteria of three seasons or 50 games.
"We didn't even look at the football, we didn't even ask what the criteria was," Odewahn said.
