When a single piece of craft can take 266 hours to create, holding an exhibition every three years seems entirely reasonable.

The Albury-Wodonga branch of the Embroiderers Guild of Victoria will present its triennial display, A Feast of Stitches, 10am to 4pm, March 16 and 17 at Lavington's Mirambeena Community Centre.
As well as individual projects, the show will include a member challenge Come To The Table, with examples related to food and dining.
This week about 30 branch members worked on their exhibits during one of their regular stitching days on the first and third Tuesdays of the month.
North Albury's Joan Whitsed, 90, who made that 266 hour piece, will contribute five items to the display.
"It takes you three years to get enough," she said.
"It's relaxing and it's something you can do at night."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Magg Stuchbery, of East Albury, had been a guild member in Warrnambool before moving to Albury 20 years ago.
"I was just able to walk straight in down here and you're made so welcome," she said.
Many of the members practise more than one discipline, for example West Albury's Sue Hitchins enjoys patchwork.
"There's lots of things you can follow, check out and see if you're interested in," she said.
Branch president Sue Fox will exhibit Japanese bead embroidery.
"Dragged along by a friend" when the branch began in 1992, Mrs Fox said the group offered friendship and a variety of techniques.
"We never stop learning, you see something that somebody else is doing and you think, 'I'll have a go at that'," she said.
