Tree behind major power failure in Wodonga

The tree struck power lines along Huon Creek Road shortly after 7pm on Tuesday.
Electricity supplier AusNet Services is working to restore power with 763 households in the dark in Wodonga as of 9pm.
A spokeswoman for the company said the exact repairs required were still being determined, however it is conservatively estimated all households won't be returned to full power until 2am Wednesday.
She advised customers to check AusNet Services' Facebook page and www.outagetracker.com.au for details of when power would be fully restored.
