In other games, Lavington Dragons defeated Albury Blue 4-2, Wodonga Bears recorded a victory over SPD Yellow, SPD Gold accounted for SPD Green, while Albury Green was far too good for Wodonga Lions.
The pick of section five saw SPD Blue winners over Forrest Hill Galahs.
Forrest Hill Swans were never in trouble against SPD Red, Albury Gold defeated Scots Pink and SPD Crows accounted for Scots Aqua.
Meanwhile, the next event on the North East Veterans calendar is at Bendigo on Sunday, followed by Euroa on March 31.
