North Albury's hasn't played to its potential, according to Callum Langlands

And the 21-year-old is adamant at least half the side will need season-high performances to take down the hottest pace attack of the modern era.

"I still think North Albury hasn't reached their full potential this year," he explained.

"There's been a lot of individuals get big scores, but I think if we're to beat Lavington we really need five or six to step up."

The Panthers' attack is so strong, it might be expecting too much for an individual to tear it apart over possibly three games.

Lavington's attack, which includes ex-Test bowler Daryl Tuffey, Riverina quick Ryan Brown and the association's joint leading wicket-taker in David Tassell, is so strong former NSW Country paceman Brett Davies couldn't even force his way back into the team for the preliminary final.

It will be an enormous challenge for Langlands, who left New City after last season.

"Steve McLennan (ex-New City), he was a pretty good captain and I enjoyed playing under him, but I just felt I needed a change of environment," he said.

"I made the change to play with a few more experienced heads.

"Ash Hulme, Greg Daniel, Ash Borella, Brendan Simmons and Dan Kadaoui, they're really experienced.

"With Greg guiding me through the way he goes about things and 'Simmo', watching the way he builds an innings, he's really helped my game a lot and I guess my stats show that, it's the best season I've ever had."

Unfortunately for New City, Langlands is the second player who's stated publicly he left the club to gain more experience.

And St Patrick's youngster Angus Kilby is also coming off his finest season at provincial level.

Langlands made 167 runs at 13 last summer, but this season has 411 at 29.

The right-hander has moved between number four and eight and North will need his class around that middle order to hold the rampaging attack at bay.

He posted a season high of 51 not out against Belvoir in last Saturday's semi win over Belvoir.

Chasing the Eagles' total of 232, North was battling at 5-106 with Langlands sharing in a steadying 59-run stand with captain Ash Borella, followed by a 58-run stand with the hard-hitting Haydyn Roberts, as the home side edged home by three wickets.
