Jessie Edwards and US import Cherise Daniel arrived on the Border on Monday ahead of round one of the inaugural NBL1 season.
Edwards, who is coming off the back of playing a season in Germany, said coach Lauren Jackson played a big role in drawing her to the region.
"Growing up I would look up to her as a player, so to get the opportunity to play underneath her and learn from her, of course it was a yes from me," Edwards said.
Western Australian born Edwards also boasts experience playing college basketball for the Minnesota Gophers, where she finished ranked sixth all-time in blocks.
"My time in Minnesota definitely taught me more of a physical side to my post playing and I think I've become a better shooter since then," Edwards said.
"I think I've become a better rounded player.
"I'm looking to bring a big inside presence both in offence and defense.
"I think playing aggressively I can help my teammates score a lot as well by drawing defense and stopping some of the taller players, like the WNBL players that will be in the other teams."
The Bandits, formerly known as the Lady Bandits, will take on the Waverley Falcons this Sunday away from home.
That will be followed by four home games.
This will be teammate Daniel's first time playing in Australia, after playing all around the world.
Daniel will also be reunited with former college teammate and Bandits import Emilee Harmon, who helped play a role in luring Daniel to the club.
"It's always been on my bucket list so it's really nice to be here," Daniel said.
"I just want to be leading any way I can, whether it's vocal or by example.
"I'm the guard that likes to do a bit of everything.
"I like to drive to the basket, like to pass, like to rebound, love to give someone else a high-five for doing something.
"I don't think this team made the play-offs last year and I don't know if that's the goal, but I would love for it to be once I get a taste to see what the competition level is like."
Despite the hype surrounding the Bandits' two new inclusions, new coach Jackson said there is no pressure on the girls ahead of the team's first game this weekend.
"There's no expectation on them other than to go out there," Jackson said.
"We know a lot of the Melbourne teams are full of WNBL players and they have a lot more money in their budget than we have.
"We've had to make the best with what we've got and and we've got the best with what we've got."
