The annual Time 4 Kids fundraiser organised by Albury's Police Citizens Youth Club takes place over four days next week at Bunnings.
Representatives from 18 businesses will be locked up until able to post bail, that is, raise $1000 through pledges from family and friends.
"Mind you, many of the email responses I've had have been, 'Can we pay to keep you in?'," Rad Sredojevic said with a laugh.

"If it's a lot of people giving a little bit of money, you get to $1000, no drama," he said.
Pastry chef Geoffrey Michael will make his jail debut, keen to support PCYC Albury.
"I used to hang out there as a kid," he said.
"Play pool, used to do boxing with Graeme Melbourne, play basketball."
PCYC Albury vice-president Jacqui Finlay said the money raised through Time 4 Kids would support ongoing police youth programs.
"It's great fun, it really is," Ms Finlay said.
