Parklands Albury Wodonga and Gardens for Wildlife will host a free workshop, Life on a New Block, on Sunday at Huon Creek, featuring information on gardens and managing feral animals.
Horticulturalist and co-author of Garden Guide for Albury Wodonga Sue Brunskill will share her tips for turning a bare block into a wildlife-friendly garden.
Field ranger Corbin Geyer will lead a feral habitat walk and talk along Huon Creek.
Mrs Brunskill said a bare block was a challenge but also exciting.
"I'll talk about how to design for lower maintenance and water use, creating microclimates and how to attract native birds, lizards and pollinators," she said.
It runs 10am to noon on Chester Circuit, Huon Creek.
