A classy first rubber by Sally Bulle and Helen Fuge proved pivotal, with Bulle holding on against Wurtz to secure the section one finale.
Karen Plested and Dee Gordon were solid back-ups in the four-game win, while Chris Essex remained unbeaten for Wurtz.
In section two, Sheil snaffled all the close sets against Taggart to finish with the victory.

Denise Sheil, Kerrie Smith, Jenny Clark and Shelley Graham combined well all morning, with Trish Gallagher strong for Taggart.
Connelly dropped the opening stanza against McHarg, before lifting to claim the next four and the title in section three.
Chris Denby was unbeaten for the winners, with support from Anni Connelly, Pat Johnson and Norelle Webb, while Cecily McHarg bookended her morning well for her team.
