River Of Gold scored her maiden victory at Benalla last month with Nikita Beriman aboard.
But it was her last start win at Canberra earlier this month that convinced Beer to head down an Oaks path.

"I'm of the opinion that when fillies get to their right trip they improve fairly quickly," Beer said.
"I've always had an opinion of the horse and her last couple of starts reinforced that.
"Nikita gave her a big rap after she won at Benalla.
"Then last start at Canberra she gave the leader 15 lengths at the top of the straight and won with the rail out seven metres.
"So she couldn't have been more impressive last start."
Beer said River Of Gold would have two starts before the Oaks at Doomben on May 25.
She arrived at Queensland trainer Steve O'Dea's stable yesterday.
