Second seed Ramona Mataruga of Geelong took out the women's singles against number one seed Miranda Poile of Melbourne in two sets, 6-3, 6-2.
While in the Men's, number one seed Corey Gaal of Sydney breezed through his draw to defeat Eden Park's Blake Watson 6-2, 6-3.
Mataruga said after a few years away from the tournament, she was happy to be back competing in Albury.
"It's a bit hotter compared to Geelong, but other than that the conditions have been prefect." Mataruga said.
"I've played her (Poile) before and you have to be on your game because she gets every ball back.
"Overall I think I played pretty well considering I don't play on grass that much."
While weather threatened to disrupt the finals, tournament director Dom Mahaffey said Sunday nights downpour wasn't enough to effect court conditions.
"It was more about the inclement weather that was a bigger worry," Mahaffey said.
"The courts held up fine and are in great condition."
Border doubles partners Adib Golshan and Andrew Healy made the semi-finals of the men's doubles, while fellow locals Jade Culph and Mark Shanahan took out the event.
