The Jindera Community Garage Sale on Sunday, May 5 has been held annually since 1999 and is now run by Jindera Rural Care Link.
Leeny Mason, who co-ordinates the day with her husband Greg, said the event raised money for Rural Care Link through site registrations and $2 map sales, but also served to connect the community.
"You can live beside people, but until you sort of walk into their garage and meet them, talk to them about things, you form those bonds," she said.
"That's what the garage sale does, it really gets people in the town to know each other."
IN OTHER NEWS:
Many of the sites lie a short walk from the town centre, with items on offer including household goods, camping gear, motorbikes, children's toys, clothes and antiques.
"The people that come to the event just love it, they come every year, they put it on their calendar," Mrs Meeny said.
The garage sale begins at 8am. Maps available from Jindera Community Hub.
