Emergency services were called to the Murray Valley Highway near the railway line crossing about midday on Sunday.
Police were attempting to intercept a speeding driver but he refused to stop, and tried to pass other drivers on the opposite side of the road.
The vehicle, which had been stolen from Murphy Street between 11am Saturday and 10am on Sunday, collided with an oncoming car.
The impact caused the stolen vehicle to roll onto its side.
The 25-year-old driver faced court on Monday and will return on Wednesday.
Drugs were also found in the car.
"Fortunately there were no injuries," Leading Senior Constable Dave Griffiths said.
"The man received a few superficial cuts and had a few aches and pains, but nothing serious."
