Tjanarra Denniss was on Monday told she would spend another week in custody following her arrest on Saturday afternoon.
She had crashed a white Toyota Camry - which she had allegedly stolen from the Albury mental health clinic in Townsend Street - on the corner of the Bandiana Link and Thomas Mitchell Drive.
The vehicle had been travelling at 114km/h in a 60km/h zone prior to the crash.
The stolen car knocked over the light pole and bent it out of shape and the 18-year-old was arrested at the scene.
Initial estimates put the damage bill at somewhere between $3000 and $10,000, and the car was damaged beyond repair.
A bail justice was concerned she was on drugs, and Denniss was agitated in the Wodonga Magistrates Court.
"That's why I stole the car, to get the f--- out of this town," she said to magistrate Ian Watkins, who repeatedly asked her not to interrupt.
The magistrate said it was "top end offending" and ordered her to remain in custody until next Monday, which caused Denniss to loudly swear.
She put her leg over the wall of the dock as she wailed to be released, and was pulled back by two protective services officers.

"I'm going to lose all my f---ing possessions," she screamed as she was led to the police holding cells, where she could be heard wailing and banging.
An officer hurried from the court to assist.
Denniss has pleaded guilty to multiple charges.
She is likely to face charges in Albury for the car theft, and the theft of phones and keys from the mental health service, which occurred a short time before the crash.
