The last start city placegetter is a dual acceptor at Wagga on Friday and Flemington the following day.
Stubbs' preferred option is the Wagga Cup but is hesitant to run on a bog track.
Up to 40mm is forecast for Wagga on Thursday.
"I would love to run at Wagga but with the weather forecast, it is a bit of an unknown," Stubbs said.
"We also drew 15 at Wagga so I nominated for Flemington as a back-up and drew 7.
"I won't be making any decision until late on Thursday."

Spunlago was set to contest the Albury Cup in March before the meeting was abandoned.
He has since had two city starts including a nose defeat at Flemington on Anzac day.
Jockey Blaike McDougall uncharacteristically dropped the whip at the 300m.
Adding to the frustration, Spunlago was heavily supported in betting after being backed from $8.50 into $5.50.
Spunlago has had 13 starts on soft or heavy going for one win and three minor placings.
"He is a bit on an unknown quantity on a wet track really," he said.
"Most of his wet track runs were early days and he is a lot better galloper now.
"But a Wagga Cup is not the race to find out if he handles the heavy."
Spunlago is rated as a $13-chance in the Wagga feature with McDougall booked to ride.
He is rated as a $7.50-chance for the $125,000 Handicap (1800m) at Flemington.
Stubbs is set to head to Wagga regardless on Friday with his talented mare Yousay Bolt.
Yousay Bolt is first-up after withdrawing from the Country Championship Qualifier at Albury with a temperature.
