Emergency services attended the Pitmeddin Drive home at 3.30am to find smoke billowing from the roof.
Fire services communications controller Paul Caligari said no one was inside at the time.
"Four fire trucks attended the scene of a single story house fire in the early hours of Sunday morning," he said.
"It was under control at 3.52am with police responding as well as the power and gas company and building surveyor to see if there was any structural damage.
"It flared up again at 9.25am and was put to a stop by 10.05am."
Mr Caligari said fire investigators were on scene Sunday morning.
"Fire investigators and police detectives are investigating," he said.
The house has been cordoned off while the cause of the blaze is investigated.
