Murray Bushrangers star Abby Favell turned in a spectacular performance in the side's 13-point loss to Dandenong at Shepley Oval on Saturday.
The Griffith youngster dominated in the midfield and pushed forward to kick a goal in a lowscoring encounter.
"She played an absolute blinder," coach Tim Madden said.
"It's one of the best individual games I've seen.
"She was awesome."
The Bushrangers led by four points at half-time and still looked a chance when trailing by five points at the last change.
But Dandenong's class prevailed late despite the best efforts of Favell, Millie Brown, Keeley Skepper, Teagan Brett and Kate Adams.
"The team did really well for most of it," she said.
"Unfortunately we just fell a bit short which was disappointing because it was a great performance."
The Bushrangers take on Geelong on Saturday.
