Tyrell was found guilty on Tuesday night by the Upper Murray league independent tribunal of careless striking.
He pleaded guilty to the charge.
The incident occurred late in the final quarter of last year's grand final.
Reporting umpire Matt Thomas was in close proximity at the time.
Bullioh's Kelvin Wallace suffered a broken jaw in the incident.
Federal called on two witnesses during the 90 minute hearing.
Tyrell had previously been suspended for two weeks.
He received a red card immediately after the incident and was charged with careless striking.
No set penalty was offered.
The matter was reported to police and Tyrell was charged with assault-related offences in November.
The tribunal hearing was to be arranged the following week of the grand final but was postponed on request of Federal Football Netball Club, pending police action.
Tyrell has been ineligible to play pending the hearing.
Wallace's jaw was wired shut and plates inserted during surgery lasting several hours on the Monday following the grand final.
On one side of his mouth, his teeth were dislodged by about 30 millimetres.
An x-ray revealed a serious break to the right side of his jaw.
Wallace's jaw was so badly broken, he was unable to speak following the incident.
The incident occurred with only 10 minutes left in the match.
Despite the serious nature of Wallace's injuries, it has not dulled his passion for the sport.
Wallace has played in Bullioh's opening two matches.
Tyrell is eligible to play again in round 13 on July 27 against Bullioh.
