Some tracks in the Alpine National Park have closed with the rest of seasonal road closures taking place on June 13.
Forest Fire Management Victoria Hume assistant chief fire officer Aaron Kennedy said most were in the high country that could be impacted by snow.
"Seasonal road closures help limit the damage done to forest roads and tracks during the wet season and in doing so, ensures dangerous and difficult sections of road are closed for driver safety," he said.
In other news:
"These measures also help maintain water quality in rivers, creeks and reservoirs by reducing the amount of erosion and silt washed away from roads and tracks.
"A number of tracks and roads, which provide access to recreation areas may also be closed, so please make sure you check our website before planning your trip."
A number of closures were introduced on May 1.
