A Border school music group will again perform at The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo after being asked to join its 70th anniversary show in 2020.

The Scots School Albury Pipe Band two years ago became the first regional Australian school to take part in the international showcase and received an invitation to return in 2018.
Pipe band co-ordinator Scott Nicolson said that wasn't possible logistically at the time, but the official 2020 invitation arrived in January.
"Following their successful appearance in 2017, it would be an honour to welcome the talented pupils of The Scots School Albury Pipe Band back to Edinburgh," it read.

The Tattoo includes 25 performances in August, with the event viewed live by about 220,000 spectators each year and attracting a global television audience of more than 100 million.
First staged in 1950, the annual Tattoo takes pride in never having cancelled a single performance.
Mr Nicolson said the band would be allowed 25 playing members and most of the likely 2020 contingent had not been part of the earlier tour.
"A lot of them are in year 11 that particular year so it works out perfectly for us," he said.
"It's a real feather in the school's cap to get a second invitation.
"Five weeks away is a long time, it's really only sustainable to do it every three to four years.
"There's a lot of moving parts; honestly we're committed to performing, but also committed that the kids do and maintain their school work throughout the trip."
