Cloke plays with Hurstbridge in the Northern Football League.
He must be cleared by his home club to take up the one-off appearance and as that hadn't been completed by 8pm on Thursday night, he wasn't named in the home team to face Wodonga Raiders.
"It should be all systems go, but we just need to tick off the final part of the paperwork," coach Marc Almond said of the 196cm Cloke, who is pencilled in to play forward.
"He's best mates with Rohan Davies, who joined us this season."

The 34-year-old played with Henty against Hume League premiers Brock-Burrum on May 11, kicking a goal and featuring in the best.
Cloke played 58 games at the elite level with Collingwood (21), Carlton (36) and Port Adelaide (one) in 2010.
The Roos are desperate to rebound after falling to Wodonga, which racked up its first win.
Meanwhile in other selection news, Myrtleford has rushed back stalwart Brad Murray for Saturday's home game against Wangaratta.
The Saints' star retired at the end of 2017, but decided to return, playing the last two games in reserve grade, where he racked up a stack of possessions against Lavington last week.
At senior level, Myrtleford suffered its second heavy loss against a top three contender and the 37-year-old's experience will be important for the youthful outfit.
The Pies will be without Morris Medal fancy Joe Richards, who's playing with Victoria Country at under 19 level.
Unpredictable forwards Frazer Dent and James McClounan have been dropped with Ben Bray to debut, while 2017 premiership player Will Reilly returns to the top level.
And Albury's Brayden O'Hara is back for Saturday's away game against Yarrawonga after missing the 61-point win over Wodonga Raiders.
