One of Victoria's most high-profile former police officers will return to give evidence at the state's royal commission into the use of police informers.
Paul Dale, a former drug squad detective, is expected to be grilled on Monday.
He was also called to give evidence last month.
Dale was charged with the 2004 murder of police informant Terence Hodson, but the case was dropped after convicted murderer Carl Williams was killed in jail in 2010.
The commission is examining the number of cases affected by the contact with Ms Gobbo, also known as Lawyer X, and the extent those cases may have been affected.
