The Nationals candidate will be named the fifth-elected NSW senator by the Australian Electoral Commission at a ceremony in Sydney.
Ms Davey said it had been an "excruciating wait" to learn she had the second last position ahead of Green Mehreen Faruqi.
Others elected were Hollie Hughes and Andrew Bragg (Liberal) and Labor's Tony Sheldon.
Based at Conargo, Ms Davey has a background in irrigation policy and has lived in the area for the past nine years.
She plans to have an office at Deniliquin.
She previously had a work base in Bendigo.
