Mudra said he was unsure whether his star midfielder would be available this week against Yackandandah until after training on Thursday night.
"We are hoping to get Jack back this week but to be honest he is only a week to week proposition at the moment," Mudra said.
"Some weeks he feels great and gets through training and plays.
"Other weeks he doesn't pull-up so well from training, so we obviously take the cautious approach and rest him being such an important player for us.
"He trained for three-quarters of last Thursday night and said he just didn't feel quite right.
"But we are optimistic he will be right this week."
