Lavington's Darryl Coventry, Allan Pantling, Adrian Pantling and Max Scanlan earned a place in the Bowls Premier League Cup regional playoffs after claiming victory in the preliminary rounds at Albury's Commercial Club on Sunday.

The quartet saw off North Albury's Stephen Broad, Gerald O'Brien, Eddie Simmons and Norm Honey in a one-end tie-break after sets were locked at one apiece in the final.
Coventry claimed the first set 4-3, Broad hit back with a 5-4 win in the second, before the Lavington side claimed the tie-break 1-0 to progress to the next stage.

Eight teams entered the event, with Broad claiming section one against Commercial's Kaye Habermann, North Albury's Duane Crow and Lavington's David Warford.
Coventry's team got through section two against North Albury sides skipped by Danny Czuczman and Duncan Balloch, as well as Lavington's Bill Collins.
The regional playoff is at The Rules Club in Wagga on August 24.
