The ride also raised $10,000 for Sisters of the North to aid struggling farmers.
Hume Veterans Information Centre welfare advocate Alex Wolf said his group assisted veterans who served in World War II and Vietnam as well as those from conflicts in East Timor, Iraq and Afghanistan.

The centre works throughout the Border and North East, including Benalla, Wangaratta, Albury-Wodonga, Corowa, Yackandandah and Tallangatta.

"There's a period of time where there's no income to the family so we just have a bit of a fund there to get them out of immediate crisis," he said.
