The Iannotta Cup champions were slow out of the blocks in the early rounds, but now sit just seven points off the top after beating leaders Albury United last weekend.
According to goalkeeper Natasha Anderson, the equation is simple.
"We're just loving football. We're playing with a great group of girls, we're all friends and we all have fun on and off the field," Anderson said.
"The game against United was really good for us.
"We played well as a team, did what our coach asked us to do and got the result."

The major factor to St Pats' turnaround has been the combination of Claire Mahoney and Isabella Barbaro.
"They just work so well together, it's almost seamless the way they can read each others passes," Anderson said.
"It's beautiful to watch, especially from a goalkeeper's perspective."
St Pats can move to outright second with victory away to Wangaratta on Sunday, while Boomers host Albury United.
