A speeding driver caught travelling 37km/h over the speed limit, at almost twice the legal blood alcohol limit, will be charged by police.
State Highway Patrol police clocked the 50-year-old Kiewa man in a Ford Falcon ute just before 3pm on Tuesday.
He was travelling at 137km/h in a 100 zone on the Murray Valley Highway at Bonegilla.
He returned a breath test of .097 and police discovered his car had been unregistered for three years.
The driver is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving and speeding.
