The Raiders stormed home to a 17-goal win against Wang Rovers on Saturday, with defenders Vashti Muller and Alissa Donaldson impressing.
Raiders' coach Jodie House admitted finals are becoming a realistic goal for the young side this season.
"We're into our second year of what I would call our three year plan," House said.
"We did speak about a goal of trying to make finals and qualify, so we've touched base on that, but we certainly take each week as it comes.
"We're not getting ahead of ourselves because it's still very tight for the top five with ourselves, Yarrawonga and Albury.
"We know we still have a job to do before we think about finals."
Mikaela Cose and Jenna Mcleod worked tirelessly in defence for the Rovers, who are still striving for their first win this season.
"Rovers are one of those sides that we're always nervous about coming up against because they're such a physically tough team," House said.
Over in Wangaratta on Saturday, the Magpies' continued their winning edge over Albury in the grand final rematch.
Kellie Keen was solid in goals for the Magpies and was assisted well by midcourt player Hannah Grady.
Jess Fisher-Curnow and Justine Willis were among the best for the Tigers', who are currently sitting just outside the top five.
It was a close and hard fought game between Yarrawonga and Lavington at J.C Lowe Oval during the weekend, with the Panthers hanging on by just three goals.
Annalise Grinter was among the best for the Pigeons', while defender Sarah Meredith continued her consistent form.
Corowa-Rutherglen were too strong for Myrtleford at home to claim an 11 goal win, with Grace Senior shooting 34 for the game.
In the final game played for the weekend, North Albury claimed their fifth win of the season when they defeated Wodonga Bulldogs.
