Barber has been named in the side's forward line and is one of just four bottom age players to be selected in the team.
The aspiring draft hopeful admitted the All Australian nod was a step in the right direction in fulfilling her football dreams.
"It feels really good to have all of the hard work I've been putting in pay off," Barber said.
"It's pretty special and I was really excited to hear that I was a part of the team.
"All of the trips up and back to Melbourne each weekend have all been worth it.
"I feel like I'll be more confident heading into next year's season."
Barber was one of two Murray Bushranger girls to be selected in the side alongside Mooroopna's Millie Brown.

The team boasts six Vic Country players following the championships held in the Gold Coast, including the side's captain Lucy McEvoy.
Barber is also joined by Vic Country teammate Tyanna Smith as two of the four bottom age players who were selected.
Barber will now take a break from football until pre-season ramps up later this year and said she's now working towards hopefully being picked up in the 2020 AFLW draft.
The 17-year-old also thanked her parents Jo and Graeme for their support throughout the season.
"I wouldn't have had the opportunity to make the team if I didn't have their support," Barber said.
