A Wodonga man has claimed his car was being driven by someone else during a pursuit that Albury police abandoned because of dangerous driving.

But because he wouldn't reveal who was behind the wheel of his Magna sedan, Dylan Joel Percy, 26, was charged with a single count of owner not disclose identification of driver or passenger.
Percy has pleaded guilty and will be sentenced on September 9.

Albury Local Court heard on Friday that police first saw the car heading east on Ebden Street, Albury, last October 1 about 11am.
They followed the car throughout central Albury, but the car failed to pull over.
Instead, it ran two red lights and eventually took off at high speed on the Hume Freeway.
Percy told police that a mate was behind the wheel and he later told them "I can't tell you who it was".
