Tongues were wagging in Hume league circles last week that Cox and his brother Zaniel Bin Busu had both returned home and won't play again this season.
Cox hasn't played since injuring his hamstring against Howlong in round 11.
Bin Busu has also been missing since round 12.
Price said he is expecting both players to return before the end of the season.
"They are both injured and I can't really add much more than that," Price said.
"Whether they are doing their recovery in Henty, Melbourne or Perth is irrelevant.
"Daniel is recovering from a hamstring and trained on both Tuesday and Thursday night last week.
"His hamstring still isn't right, so it will be at least another couple of weeks before he plays again at this stage.
"It's going to be cutting it fine but a lot will depend on results over the next fortnight and whether we are still in finals contention."

Henty sit eighth, four points and percentage behind sixth-placed Holbrook.
The Brookers have stormed back into finals calculations after claiming the prized scalp of Brock-Burrum on the weekend.
The upset was a bad result for the Swampies who are locked in a fierce battle with Billabong Crows, Rand-Walbundrie-Walla, Holbrook and Lockhart for the remaining three spots still up for grabs inside the top-six.
Henty has been in winning positions in the final quarter against both Osborne and Culcairn in the past fortnight before letting the opportunity slip.
The Swampies face Jindera on Saturday.
Price said they would regain star recruit Jared Brennan for the must win clash.
Brennan missed on the weekend against Culcairn after being concussed against Osborne the previous week.
Developing ruckman Nathan Klimpsch and speedster Taylor Clark are also expected to return.
