Building Your Future is a free information night the branch and Albury Education Office are hosting on Wednesday, August 7, for anyone interested in building industry apprenticeships.
Master Builders Albury-Wodonga president Dale Paddle said teenagers and their parents might not realise the variety available in the field.
"We're getting a lot of trade contractors to come on the night, so people can walk around and have a bit of a chat about what their job actually is," he said.
"Hopefully we'll be able to connect them with tradies that are looking to put apprentices on and they can do some work experience and see if they like it.
"We want to get kids into the trades but we want to keep them as well."

Mr Paddle's son Matthew, 16, started his carpentry apprenticeship this year knowing what was involved.
"I did a lot of work experience to get used to it, I enjoy being outside doing kind of hands-on activities," he said.
Mr Paddle said work practices had changed, for example when lifting heavy items, which made the job less taxing physically.
"We probably want to educate parents about the opportunities that are out there for kids to take up an apprenticeship and then where that can lead them.
"You've got to have a bit of drive, there's no doubt about that and generally if you've got a bit of drive, you'll go somewhere."
