The Raiders have been untroubled in 12 home and away matches and one final with coach Shane Laverty eager to complete the final step.
But he admits the reigning premier will be tough after only four points separated the teams in the semi-final.
"Thurgoona is coming good at the right end of the year," Laverty said.
"They struggled with numbers early but now they have their full side in.
"They are steaming along nicely.
"They are going to be hard to stop."
Thurgoona advanced to the decider with an eight-point win over Lavington last weekend with Chelsea Hargreaves, Olivia Hall, Mikaela Trethowan and Sophie Bignell impressing.
The Bulldogs defeated the Raiders by 52 points in last year's decider with GWS player Alyce Parker best afield.
Laverty's side is a vastly improved outfit this season however with Sallie Findlay in good form across half-back and Elise Franco, Meg Todhunter and Anastia Steyn winning plenty of the ball.
Full-forward Floss Abel kicked 19 goals in the final two home and away games and will also take stopping.
The match starts at 12.45pm.
In the youth grand final, Lavington meet Alpine Lions at 11am.
