The home side hammered Wagga Ag College 46-15 on Saturday.
"If we didn't win we were in a tough position, but we turned it on," delighted Steamers' coach Paul Musarra said.
"We've been building a little bit each week and things paid off.
"Our ball retention was good, we changed the point of attack ... to keep them to less than four tries was really good."

It was their fourth straight win, racing to a 39-0 lead.
Fullback Sam Allen was outstanding, posting a hat-trick of tries as the students struggled to combat his pace and evasive skills.
Liam Krautz also picked up a double in a top display.
The Steamers will complete the regular season against powerhouse Wagga Waratahs.
It appears the Border outfit will face Griffith in the first week of finals with the winner through to the preliminary final.
