Albury and Border Rescue Squad captain Paul Marshall has won the Rotary Emergency Services Award.
He was presented with the award during a ceremony in the Sydney suburb of Bankstown on Friday.
Mr Marshall - who is also a Victorian policeman - was one of 24 emergency workers in the running for the community awards.
The finalists had a combined experience of nearly five centuries.
