Albury took to the game with no substitutes and were down to 10 girls early on after a red card was handed out.
"They (Wangaratta) were very strong and their fresher legs probably got us in the end," Albury City coach Scott Broadway said.
Wangaratta claim third spot on the ladder while Albury City hang onto fourth.
