Rider hurt after hitting wombat on Hume Highway

Four ambulance crews responded to the incident, near Holbrook, about 7.15am on Tuesday.
NSW Ambulance spokeswoman Meg Pigram said the rider had reportedly fallen off the motorbike after hitting the animal.

The rider appeared to have a broken right shoulder.
The man, aged in his 50s, was taken to Albury hospital and paramedics have cleared the scene.
