Gaining weight, getting old, stinky teenagers, weird TV shows, scary surgeries and even who unpacks the dishwasher.
Yet for Mandy Nolan and Ellen Briggs this is largely the inspiration behind their brand of real, relative and hysterical comedy.
Women Like Us was born when comedians Nolan and Briggs stepped away from the male-dominated comedy scene into venues where women's stories and experiences were front and centre stage.
Briggs said they aimed to represent real women in their routine.
"We want our comedy to demystify a lot of the garbage that we're fed about being women," she said.
"We tell everyday stories about our struggles, our failure to parent, the beauty industry, getting fatter, strange surgeries, obsessions, frustrations and, at the end of the day, 'who unpacks the dishwasher'."
Nolan, who is a Byron Shire Echo columnist and hosts Mamamia's new postcast The Split, was in demand as a corporate and club speaker.
With 30 years of comedy experience between them, Nolan and Briggs released a book under the same name, Women Like Us, this year.
"Our show is stand-up so there are much broader strokes, but in our book we go a little deeper," Nolan said.
"We really delve into the stories and experiences that have made us who we are now."
Women Like Us is a two-hour stand-up comedy show.
Nolan and Briggs have performed this show more than 120 times throughout Australia to rave reviews.
This year they even gained two 5-Star Reviews at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, almost unheard of.
They call themselves the bogan woman's thinking woman and the thinking woman's bogan.
With a laugh coming every 15 seconds, it's not only a night out - it's a proper ab workout!
