Alpine Way, between Khancoban and Jindabyne, is expected to open about midday on Monday after Snowy Valleys Council and the Roads and Maritime Service complete slope stablisation, road cleaning and a final safety inspection.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Last Monday, a large amount of rocks dislodged and fell onto the road surface, with motorists warmed it would stop traffic for several days.
The road leads to Thredbo and Perisher ski resorts.
Until then, the Alpine Way between Khancoban and Jindabyne will remain closed.
Electronic signs will continue to advise motorists of the closure.
